This Saturday, two swimmers found themselves in difficulty during a swim in Port-la-Nouvelle. At around 3:20 p.m., a third swimmer spotted the two 40-year-olds before sounding the alert. They were taken care of by a zodiac which was on surveillance at sea.
The speed of the intervention made it possible to avoid the worst. A rescue helicopter was called in, but the two men were eventually evacuated by ambulance. A non-access perimeter has been put in place.
