The Covid-19 is the cause of the deaths of 427 new deaths in France this Wednesday. The number of hospitalizations and patients in intensive care has declined slightly but remains very high: 32,811 people are hospitalized.

More than 400 new people were added to the long list of the dead from Covid-19 in France, this Wednesday. Public Health France has recorded 427 deaths in French hospitals in the past 24 hours, bringing the number of deaths to 46,698 in total since the start of the epidemic in France.

The intensive care services remain in high tension: they admitted 361 new patients during the day. A total of 4,759 patients are currently in intensive care in France. That’s 79 people less than Tuesday. This is the third day in a row that the number of patients in intensive care has fallen.

Another figure: 32,811 people are currently hospitalized due to Covid-19, whatever their condition, against 33,500 on Monday, November 16, a record figure that had not been reached during the first wave of Covid-19 in spring.

In the last 24 hours, 28,383 new cases of coronavirus contamination have been detected throughout France.

The Minister of Health Olivier Véran must give a new update on the epidemic this Thursday evening. Head of State Emmanuel Macron will speak next week. He could speak, not of a “deconfinement”, but of a “lightening” according to several media.
