The social landlord, Altéal (formerly Colomiers Habitat), is one of the heavyweights in the sector, with more than 12,000 housing units scattered throughout the region. “We had water infiltration problems from the start in 2016 during heavy thunderstorms,” says Dominique, one of the tenants. Often, water seeps in and blows up electric meters. “This is where we started having outdoor lighting problems, in the hallway. The light on 24 hours a day
“In August, a repairman came to put insulation on the roof through my balcony, because the electricity meters were taking water,” says the tenant.
